Skateboard Andy

Skateboard Andy

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!!

I'm sharing another boy's card  today and this time i've used the super cool Skateboard Andy from Pink Gem Designs.

I've Coloured him up with my promarkers and popped him up with some silicone glue on white and black card.

The papers are from LOTV and the sentiment was a mag freebie.  I added some faux stitching around the edges.

I don't know about you but I struggle with boy cards but Janet has some perfect images in the store ... and because you get the pre-coloured version (as well as the line drawing which I used) boys cards become a breeze to put together!

I hope you like my card today :-)

Goin Green at A Gem of a Challenege

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

We've had some strange weather here today, first bright sunshine, then rain, hail stone, wing and a bit of snow ... now its really warm again!!!

I hate when its too warm to have heating on to dry clothes yet too wet to peg them out :-(

Anyhoos it's time for another challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge and this week we want you to Go Green!

Now you can literally go Green or recycle something on your project.

Now green is not a colour I usually like to use on my cards, but after making this card I think I might use it a bit more :-)

Here's what I did:

This is the delightful Sitting Chloe and I have coloured her with my promarkers and a touch of white pen.

The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection and i've had them for about 2 years and finally opened them.

The flowers are WOC and I added some of those lovely die cut hearts on stems by Impression Obsession.

The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine.

I hope you like it and I cant wait to see your entries if you decide to join in with us this week.

DT Call - Mo's Dream Team

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well, i've had such a busy week off, i dont know how I ever find time to work :-)

I was doing a spot of blog hopping earlier this week and I came across this post asking for new DT member's for the uber fantastic Mo's Dream Team ..... well I decided "why not" I know i'm not the most experienced DT member but I love love love Mo's images and I adore working with digi's so why not give it a go????

So armed with my new G45 papers and my most favourite Mo Manning image here's what I did:

This is one of the gorgeous baby Fairies, I bought her/him in a set but if you can manage to chose just one then you can get them individually too. I coloured the image with my Prisma Pencils and added a touch of glitter with my Wink of Stella pen.

Isn't the image just adorable ... look at those chubby little legs lol.

I matteed my G45 papers with Coredinations card stock in cream and blue.

The flowers are from WOC and I added a die cut corner, sentiment and some pearls.

I really hope you like it, if you also like Mo Manning images scroll back through my blog and your sure to see more :-)

The papers I used are also from Cuddly Buddly and can be found here and here.

The gorgeous sentiment is from the store too!

Sketch Time at A Gem of a Challenge

Good morning everyone!

It's a beautiful spring day here in Rotherham (if a little windy) and we have been very busy this morning!

I've done the big shop, cleaned up, mopped the floors, 2 loads of washing and cleaned the oven!

Any way its Saturday so that means a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this week we have a sketch for you provided by the lovely Katie.

I love a good sketch and this was a delight to work with!

I used the oh so pretty Chloe in heart PJ's and coloured her with my Prisma's

The papers are G45  ladies Diary - I can't believe I finally chopped into them - eeek! I did get away with using just one sheet though!

I added lace, gems, a punched border and faux stiching, a few flowers from WOC too (I had to colour some blue ones with a black promarker as I had run out)

The inside follows the same sketch.

I hope you like it and would love to see your take on the sketch too.

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx

First attempts with DI markers

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this from my IPhone so excuse the dodgy layout and pictures!

I wanted to share my first attempts with my new pens - I love the pens so much but I need A LOT more practice!

I'm struggling to find the correct paper to use as they all seem to "bobble" when I attempt to blend, I also need to get some brushes with a shorter brush length I think.

Anyhoos I'd love you to tell me what you think - good or bad!

Baby Boy

Hi everyone!

I'm here on this beautiful spring day to share a card made for a brand new little person who is due to arrive early next month!

Janet has a beautiful selection on Baby digi stamps and papers in the store, it was tough to decided on which to use!

I used the "oh so cute" Baby Boy Bundle, I printed off several copies of the pre-coloured image and then layered them up for a 3D effect!

I even layered up the little tiny duckies :-)

I also used the gorgeous "Oh Boy" papers for decorating the inside and outside of my card!

Finally I added the cute sentiment, some ribbon, liquid pearls and baby embellies to finish.

Hope you like it!

Hugs xx Cara xx

My Heart Belongs to you

Yay it's Friday, all the days have been rolling into one with the Girls being on holidays :-)

I'm sharing a card i've just finished and it's for Lacey's birthday from me and her Daddy.

I have used an image from Cuddly Buddly and it's by Lilyboo and is called My Heart Belongs to You.

I didn't manage to get her a real pink dragon so this will have to do :-).

I've coloured the image with Prisma's and added my Wink of stella pen all over - I really need some more of these I love them!

The papers are from dovecraft and are called Princess Fairytale, they are a few years old now.

Sorry for the picture overload, with it being and easel card it was difficult to get a decent shot.

I added lots of flowers from WOC and a bow, all have had the wink of stella treatment too.

There you go, I hope you like it.

Altered Tissue boxes - Take 2

...Back again so soon!

I almost forgot to post these little boxes, they were made to order for a colleague of mine after she saw my original box posted here.

I used Janets beautiful Chloe images again from Pink Gem Designs.

I used the pre-coloured images as they are for two children so no squabbling about them being different!

Sorry about the rubbish pics they were so hard to photograph!

I used a selection of papers and card for matting and layering and then added faux stitching, ric-rac and some flowers.

I hope you like them!

Hugs xx Cara xx

For my little Lacey

Good afternoon all, the sun is shining but my word it is freeeeezing here brrrrr!

It's my youngest daughter Lacey's Birthday on Monday, she will be a big 3!!! I just cant believe how the time flies.

Now Lacey is a true girly girl, she is adamant that she will get a pink dolly house for her birthday, accompanied by a pink dolly, a pink cake and she also would like a pink dragon lol!

The image I chose to used could have been drawn for her .... meet Marion by Mo Manning!

The kitty cat is also the spitting image of my newest addition "Misty".

I coloured the image with my prisma pencils and added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen.

All of the circles were cut with my grand nesties and the papers are by docrafts.

The sentiment is from papermania and cut out with a new Marianne die.

I then went crazy with ribbon, liquid pearls, flowers and yet more sparkle lol!

I hope you like it .... i hope Lacey May likes it too .... i'll report back after her birthday!

I'm off to make a start on her card from me and Daddy now.

Take care, hugs xx Cara xx

Forever Friends - Paper piecing

Hi everyone,

I've had a lovely but very busy Easter with my hubby and girls, i've really enjoyed it though, i hope you have all enjoyed your's too.

The lovely Janet at Pink Gem Designs is sponsoring the Forever Friends Challenge for April - What a great combination!

... so us lucky Pink Gem DT girls had the chance to GDT for the challenge too.

View April13.JPG in slide show

The theme is Paper Piecing and here's what I did:

I used the oh-so pretty thoughtful Chloe, I coloured her skin with promarkers and then paper pieced everything else - including her hair!

All of the papers are from a 6x6 Miss Caroline pad which I love.

The brad and pearls come from the matching embellishment set.

The sentiment reads "start everything with a smile"

I chopped into the main sheet and added strips of different papers for something for Chloe to sit on.

And as you can see the inside has been decorated too.

I do hope you like it!

Love and hugs xx Cara xx

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - swirls and pearls
papertake weekly - anything goes
