Bring on the Sunshine

Hello everyone from a very sunshiny Rotherham!

I hope the weather is this nice where you are!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge and this week we would like you to "Bring on the Sunshine" - how apt for the day we're having :-)

Here's my take on the theme ....

... so there's not much to say about this one is there lol, very CAS for me.

The image I used is Cartwheel Jodie and the papers I used for the banners and matting are from the Lemon Drizzle digi papers collection.

The only other thing I did was doodle around the edge - simple.

I hope you like it, i'm going to slap some sun cream on my kiddos and head of out into the garden to do a spot of colouring in the sun.

21st Birthday Fairy

Hi all,

I'm back as promised with the other card I made yesterday - get me 2 posts in 2 days woo hoo!

I purchased this image from Redonkadoodles after watching Kimberly Brown of JustWordz.ca doing her fab tutorial vids on You Tube.

This is Shy Fairy and she is so pretty:

I've coloured her with my promarkers and added Wink of Stella to her wings.

The papers are from another first edition pad but i'm not sure which as I lost the front cover sorry.

I added the number squares from the pad too as I liked how the card turned out I'll be giving to my hubbys cousin for her birthday :-)

I added a bow and pearls from my stash and more flowers from WOC, Oooo I also used my new wavy edge spellbinders and I love them!

So there you go, I hope you like it, I'm off to play with my new Fabulous Fashion and Fabulous Shoes CDRoms that came today woo hoo!

Sweet Baby Girl

Evening everyone .... is it just me or has this week seemed sooooo long??!!

So after weeks of trying desperately to find my long lost mojo, i've taken some great advice from some of my lovely DT sista's and made something just for fun - not for an order, not for a DT and not for a family birthday ... and ... it worked!

I've had a lovely couple of hours this afternoon making not one but two cards (i'll save the other one until tomorrow)

So here's what I made:

I used the adorable "Butterfly Baby" by Krista Smith at Saturated Canary, i've had this image so long it was about time I used her.

I coloured her with my Promarkers  (it's been such a long time since I used my markers I had to go on the hunt for tutorials and came across some fantastic ones on You Tube by the Uber talented Kimberly Brown at Just Words.ca - you should check out her channel her vids are amazing!

The papers are 1st Edition "Sweet Owl" this pad is filled with my most fave colour combo Pink and Brown and i've almost used it up :-(

I put everything together following a sketch from Flutter By Wednesday's

The sentiment was a freebie and I finished off with flowers from WOC and some pearls from my stash.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and I truly hope it means my mojo is here to stay ... for a while at least!

I'm still here!

Hi everyone I thought I should do a quick post to let you all know that I am still here but I've been having a terrible time over the past few weeks.

I've suffered from Laryngitis, ear infections, sinusitis and a chest infection over the past 3 weeks and on top of that I've had all 3 of my girls poorly in turn.

I think I might see a faint light at the end of the tunnel though now so I may be back to creating and blogging sometime soon hopefully.

Thanks to you all my lovely followers for sticking with me and as a thank you I'm hoping to gather some candy together to show my appreciation.

Things With Wings at A Gem of a Challenge

Hi everyone,

Wow how long has it been since my last post?!!!!

I've been suffering the past few weeks with a bad case of laryngitis followed by a rather nasty ear infection ..boo hoo.

I'm not happy with the timing of said illnesses at I have been following a 5K training plan and now i've had o long off I will have to start practically from scratch again :-(

I did manage to pick myself up a little yesterday to put this little cad together for our new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this week we would like to see things with wings on your creation.

I used Milly with Chickens this time, she is one of the older images over at the store but I think she is adorable.

I went with the pre-coloured version as I wasn't feeling too good. And i matted her onto my favourite spellbinders fancy shmancy ovals.

All of the DP's and elements on the card are by Nitiwits and the came free with a mag yonks ago, I just added a button and some twine.

I think I might have to purchase this digital paper set if they are still available as I love the colour pallet.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front.

I've been a busy bee today making my very first mini-album, it turned out pretty well I just have to decorate it now so watch this space.

A Good Book

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post today, i'd like to share a card made with a digi from Cuddly Buddly.

The image is by Barbara Anne Williams and is called "A Good Book" she reminds be of my eldest daughter Phoebe who is a total book worm - so much so we are having to have custom made book shelves for her room accommodate all her "reads".

I used papers from 1st Edition and matted them with Centura Pearl card, the inside has been decorated too.

The flowers and charm are from WOC crafts.

Lilyboo - Blowing Bubbles

Evening all,

What a terrible start to the week i've had, my youngest baby has septic tonsillitis and my middle girl has had a massive abscess under her tooth which ended up with an emergency extraction - my eldest is now hoping it really doesn't come in three's!.

I've been trying to get this card finished since last week in between playing nurse so in the end I had to leave it looking quite CAS.

Be warned though it is quite bright!

This is a new image called Blowing Bubbles by Lilyboo and is from Cuddly Buddly.

I coloured her in with my pro-markers.

I used quite a few of my Die-namics dies on here and the papers are from a pad called Sunny Side.

The pinwheel comes in the matching accessory pack to go with the papers and I added loads of buttons from my jar.

I forget where the little sentiment is from it's a really old one :-)
