Fancy a sleepover?

Hello again everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Mine hasn't been the best, my eldest daughter suffer's from Asperger's Syndrome and i'm afraid as she is getting older things are getting worse every day - I don't usually talk about these thing on here but sometimes its good to get things out isn't it.  I wont go into to details but it looks like another visit to her specialist this week :-(

So anyway, Phoebe will be 10 at the end of August and she doesn't like parties or anything too busy so what she has asked for is a sleepover with two of her friends and a day out at the pictures with them.

I'd like to share with you the invites I made for her to send:

This is the super adorable Princess Peanelope by the super talented Krista Smith and you can purchase her here .

I used my Graph'it Markers which you can find over at Polkadoodles here.

The colours used are:

Hair: 3140,2130,2110,2105
Skin: 4170,4155,4115,4120,4135
Pink: 5120,5115
Blue: 7170,7130,7125
Green: 8120,8110

As you can see I added lots and lots of frou frou - Phoebe's orders lol.

The papers are First Edition Floral Pavillion all matted with Pink Bazzil and I added Flowers and feathers from WOC, the gems and Ribbon are by Chloe Stamps.

And finally a pic of them both together .. i must say i completely underestimated how difficult it would be to make two identical cards!

I hope you like them, I'm off now but before I do i'd like to share something i'm super excited about ....My samples are going to be shown on Create and Craft tomorrow wooo hooo! I do hope you can tune in tomorrow between 10 - 12 and watch the Craft Clinic with the Fabulous Nikky Hall!.

Night sweet peeps.

xx Cara xx

13 Today

Hi everyone!

I thought it was about time I brushed the cobwebs off my little dusty blog and get something on here, I don't want you all leaving me now do I???

I have got loads of cards done and photo's taken but finiding the time to blog about them has been impossible.

I've also been dabbling in the world of Mini Album making and seem to lose myself in youtube tutorials most nights.

Any hoos here is a card I made for a commission, this was inspired by my lovely new friend and DT sister Simonne (hope you are feeling better hun) ... here's her fab card.

So here's what I did:

The image is by Kenny K and I coloured him with a mix of Pro markers and Graph'it Markers, I also tried something new and edged all the way around the image with black marker to make it pop.

I used so scraps of paper from my box, matted everything with black and added faux stitching as always.

I used loads of dies too, the arrows and numbers are by Die-namics and the stars are X-cut.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front with space to add a greeting.

And there you have it, I hope you like it!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, hugs xx Cara xx

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

For some reason nothing is publishing, I've tried logging out and back into google but it still won't work.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Black Hair Challenge - Graph'it Marker Blog

Woooooo Hoooo thank god it's Friday ...if i had to do another day at work i swear all that would have been left of me would have been a puddle where i melted under my desk!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Graph'it Marker Blog and this week we would like to see you colour black hair with your markers .... and remember....

YOU CAN USE ANY MARKERS TO ENTER!!!

So here's what I did:

The digi, papers and butterfly were all from the new and totally delicious Bonbon Belles CD by Polkadoodles, the colours and images on here are fantastic and work so well with the Graph'it Markers.

As I dont have the full range of Greys in my collection (yet) I decided to go a little different and try my hand at Ombre hair!

It's not perfect but I had a load of fun trying it and I must say i'm really tempted to try other colour combo's now too.

(Sorry but I did mark down the colours I used but then sent the card off to boss lady Nikky - I will try harder next time to keep a list - i promise)

I would love if you would join us over at our challenge ... as always there is fantastic prize up for grabs - £30 in goodies this week Wowza!!!

Before I go I have a little bit of news...

I'm sad to say that I have made the tough decision to step down from my other DT commitments, I have recently started a new job and have a lots of personal issues going on in my life.

I have worked with the wonderful team over at the Pink Gem challenge for a while now and i have loved every minute.  Janets images are adorable and the ladies on the team are all so kind and welcoming, I would love the thank them for having me.

I would also like to thank Katie at Cuddly Buddly for being so helpful, kind and caring ... it has been a pleasure designing with the awesome products and digi's you have in your store.

Phew ... a little tearful now :-(

Anyhoos i'm off to stand in the fridge for five.

Hugs xx Cara xx
