Add a Little Twinkle for the Polkadoodles Challenge

Hey everyone I'm back after my holiday and I have some fab news to share:

The fabulous Nikky Hall has only gone and allowed me to join her wonderful Polkadoodles team!!! woooo I'm so pleased I just hope my makes are up to the standard of her amazing team!

So without further ado here is my first make for the inspiration post for the latest Challenge and the theme is to add a little twinkle ... easy right.

Now the DT were given an extra little challenge and that was to make something for Christmas ... it's never too early to make a start right???

So here is what I did:

I used the brand new Festive Hollybobs CD from the Work and Play Collection.

This CD is absolutely cram packed with the most adorable image, papers, design set and everything else you would expect from one of Nikky's CD's.

I used one of the Designs sheets (re-sized) in Word, a couple of backing papers and plenty of stickles to make my card.

I hope you like it :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Here's what I made:

This is the UUUUber cute Chester with Lights from Little Miss Muffet .. isnt he the cutest!!!

I used papers from a free HOTP pad called Forever Christmas (I really need to treat myself to some new crimbo products this yearas I barely have anything left!)

I've added burlap, WOC flowers and some pearl thingies recycled from last years crimbo crackers to embellish.

Here are the colours I used:

Chester: 3180,3190,3160, 3140,3120, 5120
Red: 4245, 5240
Green: 8190,8180,8140
Cool Grey added to eyes and blended.

I hope you like it.

Have a great weekend!

It's easy peasy Anything Goes at the Colour Crazy Challenge!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm finally back with a card wooooo!

This week at the Colour Crazy Challenge over at the Graph'it marker blog we would love to see anything as long as you have used your alcohol markers to create some part of it!!  Easy right???

I decided to attempt colouring on Kraft card ... this is the first time i've tried this so be gentle with me:

This is the lovely "Ava Loves to Celebrate" and she is one of the Uptown girls from Stampin Bella, the sentiment comes with her too.

Now when I first coloured this I was ready to file it in the bin as it just wouldn't go right ... until I saw my Prisma pencils on the shelf ... I outlined and added highlights with a white pencil and and it instantly lifted it!

This is a ma-hooo-sive easil card using two of the fancy edged A5 cards from C & C., the papers are from the member free gift from C & C too.

I added loads of embellies from Hobby House, Stampin up and WOC and some Magnolia Die cuts to finish.

Here are the Graph'it colours I used:

Skin: 3120,4155,4150 (4135 for cheeks)
Green: 7160,715,7145
Blue: 8180, 8140
Hair: 3290,3280,3270

here's a little tip .. when colouring on Kraft card choose your regular colour combo you use for colouring on white then drop the lightest colour and add another darker colour .....this whill hep the colours show more on the darker card :)

I hope you like my card, why not pop over to the challenge and see the awesome cards from my lovely teamies.

Huge hugs xx Cara xx
