Forever Rose

Tonight i'm sharing a card which I made to order for a friend at work, she wanted a girls card for an 18 year old and the only specific was it has to include a girl with "different" hair.

I went to one of my fave images from Crafts and Me and combined it with the latest sketch challenge over at Addicted to Stamps.

And here she is, this is Forever Rose

She has been coloured up with my promarkers as always.

I've used more new papers for this card, these are J'adore by First edition and i really love them.

I made the flower with my new Sunflower die from Die-namics and then I went a little bit liquid pearl crazy!

Here's a little peak at the inside, decorated with more of that paper and liquid pearls.

The large "18" are made of wood, coloured and stickled to death!

There, hope you like it, i'm off for tea and the to Slimming World for my weigh in ... eeek!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Calendar GDT - Whats new

Hello again,

As promised i'm back with my GDT post for Crafty Calendar Challenge and this time the challenge theme is "Whats new"

I've gone with yet another new baby card, this one is a lot different to the last post though:

The image I used is from Crafts and Me and is called "A Mother's Love" by Teresa Sherman.  She has been coloured in with my promarkers.

The papers are Simple Stories Baby Steps and they have been distressed, faux stitched and matted with c'oredinations brown cardstock.

The Charm is from my stash and the flower is made up of paper blooms and a small die cut.

Here's a peak at the inside...I just love this sentiment!

Hope you like it!

I'm off to link up and then make tea for my girlies.

See ya soon!

Gem of A Challenge - New Beginnings

Happy Saturday all

Hope you are all well. I've finally managed to get blogger working ...i've been tearing my hair out for most of the day until I had a brainwave and downloaded Goggle Chrome ... whooopeee it worked :0)

Well my christmas trimmings are finally down and my house feels massive again ... and clean, I love it but my girls are not best pleased to say the least!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this time we would like to see cards marking a "New Beginning".

Before I get onto my card though I want to let you all know that were are having a DT call too as a couple of our members have decided to step down (sorry to see you go Sazzle and Vicky).

So if your interested pop on by the challenge blog and take a  at the requirements .... i must say it is a lovely design team to work on, so friendly and caring :-)

So on to my card ......

New beginnings mean new babies to me so I used the Baby boy bundle and went with the pre coloured image you get in the pack.

I also used the Oh Boy papers to decorate my card.  I love these papers kit .. you never have to worry about finding papers that match.

Everything is matted with lovely bright Bazzil basics and i've used lots of embellies from my stash.

Here's a tiny peek at the inside, decorated with more of the lovely papers.

So thats me done, hope you can join in our challenge and remember to pop DT after your entry if you would like to be considered for one of our DT positions.

Good lock everyone!

I'll be up later with a GDT post so until then.....

I had a little time to play with some more new stash last night and here's what I made:

These two cuty patooties are Wrynn and Emmy - BFF's from the fabulos Tiddly inks and I have coloured them up with my Promarkers, i've tried a new combo for the blonde hair though and i'm not convinced ... hmmm i'll leave that one out to the jury

I used my new stash from My Minds Eye, Miss Caroline range for the entire card .... I really love this collection and wish I had bought a couple of paper pads.

Here's a quick peak at the inside .... getting a bit better with my camera now lol!

DT Cupboard Trilogy

Hello again,

Today has been my last day off from work ... boo, I will be glad to get back to normality I think though, i'm also tiring of the Chritmas decorations ... i'm itching to take them down and give everywhere a proper fettling... is it just me?

Today also see's the start of a new challenge over at The Cupboard Trilogy and this month we have gone with the theme of "Lead by example" ... simply chose one of the DT examples and use that as the inspiration to make your own card, LO or 3d item ... simples!

So for a change I went with a very CAS card ...

This was a commisioned card for a friend whos "missus" is expecting a baby anytime soon and he wanted a xmas card to express his thanks to her for carrying his child ... aaaaaaw bless him.

The image is from Sassy Studio which I won just before christmas.  I simply printed her out with my own sentiment and coloured her up with my Promarkers .... i couldn't resist a
teeny tiny bit of bling and popped a gem for an earing.

Everything is matted onto red then black Bazzil Basics ans i've doodled round the edges with my black fine liner.

And there you have it!

I hope you like my CAS design and would love to see your take on my creation over at the challenge blog.

Thanks for popping by :-)

Love and hugs

Happy New Year!!!

Happy new Year to all my dear blogging friends and visitors!!!

I hope you all had an excellent evening last night whether out partying or having a cozy evening with family!

Me and my eldest daughter sat down to do some crafting last night and she set us a challenge of both creating a card each using exactly the same design sheets ( free with a magazine).

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and used something I would never normally have done if crafting on my own.

First i'll show you her sweet card (which she has decided to give to her nan)

She chose the design sheet in one of her favourite colours and added lots of pink stickle, gems and pearls. She even raided my button jar bless her.

I so love how children can put a card together without worrying about composition and colour matching etc.

I think her card is fantastic!  She took great joy in the fact that she finished well before me and then proceeded to sit watching me whilst calling me "the worlds biggest faffer" as i spent ages making mine lol.

On to my card

As you can see I did spend ages "faffing" about with loads of matting and faux stitching etc and the end result is not half as charming as Phoebe's effort.

Here's a close up of the fab Humphrey image - i love the "large" family there are so cute!

And here's a quick side ways view - sorry about the naff photo's guys, santa brought me a fancy new camera but failed to supply any decent instructions :-(

Thanks for visiting me today, I do hope you like my (and Phoebe's ) cards today.

I'll be up in a bit with my DT card for The Cupboard Trilogy so i'll see you soon.

Hugs xx Cara xx
