Sweet As Candy at the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Hello again my lovelies, i'm finally back in the land of blog again and trying to recoup my DT commitments!

Today I am sharing my card for the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog and this week we want to see your Sweet as Candy makes, we the DT were given 2 colour palettes to chose from but you can use whatever matches the theme ... remember you can also use whatever colour medium you choose!

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Molly Harrison and one lovely winner could walk away with some stunning images to play with.

I used the stunning image Worry, I love her.  I  but used a bit of artistic licence with the colour theme and chose to darken the candy colours  and teamed them with black to darken the overall look of the card.

Such an amazing image to colour, I used my Graph'it Markers of course and added some white gel pen for the details in her hair and facial features.

I layered everything up on black card and added flowers from WOC and a sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you like it.

Huge hugs xx Cara xx

Polkadoodles 7th Birthday Celebrations!!!

Happy 7th birthday Polka Doodles!
Polkadoodles Ltd

As this anniversary is normally called the "7 year itch", the Polka Doodles team have embraced the prickly feeling by scratching that itch and mixing/scratching up some new images ... get the pun? Corny we know but the team have had great fun. So to embrace the “itchy scratch” the Polka Doodles team have thrown caution to the wind and “scratched up” a different kind of birthday celebration.

The birthday celebrations will be running for 2 weeks and each day someone from the Polka Doodles team will be sharing their “mixed/scratched up” image. It’s been all hush hush and secret squirrel too as no one knows who has been busy creating what and when they will be revealing their image... so the Polka Doodles team get to join in the fun too. To add an extra layer of itchy fun, everyone has also been colouring up the new “scratched/mixed up” images, (still not knowing who designed them) and they will be sharing via their blogs and on FaceBook.
We really have scratched things up ... new merged images, no one knows who created what and no one knows when they’ll be sharing them ...!
Please do take the opportunity to visit the Polka Doodles team and see their new digi images because you will find a discount code (or two) along your way that you can use in the Polka Doodles shop.

So make sure you stick around till the end because there is a little gift for you my lovely visitors..
So today it's my turn to share my secret teamies Mixed up image ..... I believe the lovely Jackie created this little masterpiece  ...its was so much fun to colour!

So the images are from the Winnie Fruit Punch and Work and Play 12 Collections ... don't you just love that sentiment too!

I coloured it up with my Graph'it Markers and simply matted and layered it onto black and glittered card stock.

I hope you like it, don't forget you will be able to buy the full merged image at a super special price as soon as it goes live in the shop so keep checking in at the facebook group ... until then here is a 20% discount code for you all and you can use it on ALL digis in the shop (no full collections guys) the code is BIRTHDAY20 NOW USE IT QUICKLY MY LOVELIES AS IT WILL EXPIRE 17TH MAY AT MIDNIGHT GMT.

Have fun creating guys and enjoy the party!!!

Easter Treats at the Graph'it Marker Blog

Hiya lovelies!!!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Colour Crazy blog  and this week our theme is Easter Treats.

Our lovely sponsor is All Dressed up and they are offering two images to a lucky winner, dont forget there are also Graph'it Marker prizes up for grabs too!

Prize 2 images

So us the DT were given two scrummy colour pallettes to work from, you can go with these if you like or chose your own.

My image this week is called three little party girls and is sooooooo adorable - it just reminds me of my own three girlies.  I adore the pallettes too and went with the pinky one - perfect for my super girly card!

The colours are so pale I found it difficult to get a decent picture, I did colour a background with the pinks and greys and added glitter and allsorts ... you will have to take my word for it lol

I treated myself to some lush new templates from Dutch Doobadoo thus easter and this is the oval swing card.  I just had to decorate it up with loads of lace, pearls and ribbon.

Here I tried to get a better pic of the background and all the sparkles but is still seems its very camera shy!

I hope you like it, have a great weekend!

Duckling Discovery - Crafts and Me

Hello again!

2 posts on one day can you believe it!!???

I'm so enjoying my week off my girls have been so good to me and allowed me loads of crafty time, sadly tomorrow is my last day off but I do hope to keep on crafting in an evening now the clocks have "sprung" forward!

So today I thought I would create this super quick card and finally enter the Freebie challenge over on the Crafts and Me face book page.

The freebie this time was by Hannah Lynn and is called Duckling Discovery, she is no longer a freebie but you can buy her here

I coloured her up with my Graph'it markers and added details with my stabilo fine liners, white pen and clear wink of stella.

The papers are new ones called "Bohemian" and I got the pad from the Range .. although not sure what brand they are.

This seems to be my go-to layout, I think I really need to go hunting for some card shetches and change things up a bit lol.

I hope you like it.

Have a super Sunday lovelies!

Hi everyone, its Friday again and my turn to share my DT make for the Graph'it Marker Challenge, which as you have guessed is "January Blues" and I for one am totally feeling the blues this month :)

So this week our fabulous sponsor is:

and don't forget,, as well as amazing sponsor prizes you can also win some Graph'it Markers!!!

I loved my image this week she is called Nouveau Flower Girl and she is so pretty.  I went for the a pop of colour with my blue pallet as I knew I wanted to do the sky vivid blue and her dress also in blue.

I kept my card pretty simple as I wanted the image to really stand out against the white of the base.

I added stars using my white Graph'it Shake pen, and also a touch of sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen (i can never catch it on camera though)

I finished off with some snowflake and pearl trims and a few flowers.

I hope you like it.

Christmas Sparkles at The Graph'it Marker Blog

Hey lovelies, did you all have a great bonfire night or are you celebrating this weekend?

I am actually petrified of fireworks .. in fact anything that bangs, crackers, party poppers, balloons lol. We did get some fireworks for the kiddos and had pie and peas (we bought the quiet fireworks and watched from the safety of the window ha ha)

So today is a new challenge over at the Graph'it Marker blog and we would love to see you Christmas colours with added sparkle, there are some wonderful colour palettes for inspiration over on the blog but of course you can use any colours you like!

Remember there are some fabulous prizes to be won from both Cult Pens and our sponsor this week Digital Delights .

For my image this week I decided to go with the darker colour palette as gingerbread biscuits at Christmas make me think of warm cosy nights drinking hot chocolate!

The image is called Candy Wreath Natasha.  I added gold shake marker to the image and all of the edges of my papers and even the flowers, you've got to have sparkle at Christmas and the shake markers are perfect!

Colour's used:
Brown: 3250,3245,3210
Red: 5260, 5250, 5220
Green: 8290, 8280, 8260
White and shadows: Neutral greys

I hope you like it!

Have a great weekend!

Christmas Colours with added Sparkle!!

Happy Friday,

I've been enjoying a week off work with the kids this week, getting ready for Halloween, I can't believe its that time of year again, as soon as Saturday passes though we will be on the slippery slope to Christmas!

And that's our theme over at The Graph'it Marker Blog this week! We are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and we would like to see you Christmas colour pallets.

I used this lovely wintery image called Candy Land Winter Ice Princess and you can find her here

I used all of my Blue Grey's to achieve the silvery colour palette.  I added my Gold Shake marker to her Tiara and the stars and then the Silver Shake marker to everything else!

I have had to take a sideways photograph as glitter is definitely camera shy!

Colours used:
Skin: 3105, 4155, 4150, 4135
Hair: 370, 3250, 4345
Cool Grey's
Gold and silver glitter shake markers.

I hope you like my sparkly card!!

Have a great Halloween weekend.

A Very Fairy Door Gift Bag

Morning all,

Just another quick post today to share the matching gift bag I made to go with the card I shared on my last post.

I used another Fairy from the A Very Fairy Door Kick starter campaign, and if you've not heard of this before here is a link to the facebook page where you can find all the details.

As you can probably tell these images have been illustrated by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary.

I followed the same theme as I did with the card so this looks very similar, I used the same colour Graph'it Markers and added just as much stickles lol.

The bag is quite large so instead of ribbon I used a large MS punch to add detail.

The fairy is printed out at a (huge for me) 9 inches high!

I hope you like it.

Hugs xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my gift bag into the following challenges:

Crafting for all seasons - all dressed up/girly
Crafty gals corner - Anything goes
Try it on Tuesday's - Lots of Layers

Halloween Tag

Hey my lovelies,

Today I'm sharing a project I made for the recent Graph'it Marker show on Create and Craft.

I made a little tag using this adorable little image Hallo Witch from the Greeting Farm.

I coloured her up with my Graph'it Markers, she is so cute I love her!

The whole tag only measures around 3 inches so i only used a couple of tiny pieces of scrap paper, lace and ribbon to make this.

I hope you like it!

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

Come and get it - use orange
Pile it on - Cute or spooky
Robyns fetish - anything halloween

Christmas colour Challenge at the Graph'it Marker Blog

Good morning lovelies,

Its Friday again and that means another challenge over at the Graph'it marker blog and this fortnight we would love to see your Christmas coloured cards!!

There are two colour palettes over on the blog to chose from.

I hope you will come and join us, there are fabulous prizes as always and this week we are sponsored by the ever generous Polkadoodles so there are digi's to be won too!

I have used the super cute Skater from the Hollybobs collection and went with the blues and ice coloured palette to make my card.

For the background I created a little winter landscape scene by drawing basic shapes with 3 different shades, I then added the Mix'it Fluid by unscrewing the spray nib and applying it direct from the bottom of the tube to make snow drops.  I also used my White Shake Marker to add more smaller snow flakes.  To make it easier I die cut a little circle to make my background so that I wasn't put off by looking at a huge blank piece of paper :)

I suspended the little skater girl on a piece of acetate so she dangles very nicely in front of the background when the card is stood.

The papers are by Lili of the Valley and I added die cuts and plenty of flowers to finish!

Graph'its Used:
Background: 7140, 7120,7101, Blender and MI Fluid
Skin: 3120, 3105, 4155, 4115, 4135
Hair: 3270, 3250, 3245, 3210
Purples: 6140, 6120, blender

There is lots more inspiration for you over on the challenge blog!

Frosted Winter Inspiration

Good morning!!

Today I'm sharing another project made with the brand new Octavia Collection Frosted Winter.

I adore this collection and have had so much fun playing.

This time I decided to make a wall hanging using an MDF Plaque which I covered in Denim sheets from Dutch Doobadoo.

Everything else but the die cuts are from the collection.

I coloured the image with my Graph'it Markers and added details to the fur with my pencils.

I do hope you like it!

Back to my make ... I made a tag for a change .... a very CAS tag too..

I used my Portrait to cut the tag shape (from the Silhouette Store) I created several layers and sandwiched the papers from the collection between so they would show through.

I coloured the beautiful Octavia and her furry fox friend with my Graph'it Markers and added fine details with my pencils.

The Sentiment is also from the collection.

Make it Crafty and Floral colours at the Graph'it Marker Blog

Happy Friday everyone,

Today I'm sharing my latest make for the Graph'it Marker Challenge and this week we are all about Florals!!

We are also sponsored by the wonderful Make it Crafty who gave us fabulous images to play with!

I chose the wonderful Chantelle at the Races and I was given a stunning floral colour palette to work with by Nikky ...

I love this palette but I have to admit I always struggle doing pastels i'm more of a bright and bold type of gal lol .....

.... and as you can see I was way off the palette... lucky for me Nikky is super kind and let me off ha ha ... she did give me a great tip for next time and that is to work lightest to darkest for pastel tones and that way you are mapping out the highlights first so have less chance of losing them like I did.

I teamed her up with more papers from Floral Pavilion pad by First Edition (I love this pad it has lasted me years)

I kept the rest of the card simple and just added a sentiment from my stash, I wanted the whole card to be about that fabulous outfit and hat!

Hope you like it!

Please come over and join us and remember you can you use any markers to come play!

Hugs xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Crafting for all seasons - Bright and Beautiful
Doodle Pantry - Anything Digital
Stamp and Create - One for the Girls
