First Hannah Lynne Card

Evening everyone, just a quik post tonight to share my very first card using a Hannah Lynne Digi form Crafts & Me.

I've seen these digi's used all over but was always too nervous to attempt to colour one .... so please go easy on me!

This card is made to order so I hope the recipient likes it ... eeek nervous (i've never sold my cards before!)

Ok so I went a bit wild with the hair lol! ... but I did really enjoy colouring her up...i feel a new digi obsession coming on :-)

I was asked to make a large card and I must say I wasn't quite sure about having so much space to fill.

I used papers from "love letters" by 1st edition and I distressed all the edges ( i fancied a change from faux stitching for once)

The bow die is a "new to me" one from Memory Box and i've used my fave corner too.

A computer generated sentiment, double bow and black gems to finish.

Inside had been decorated too.

Hope you like my first attempt, i do hope to be posting more cards with these lovely digis.

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx

Dream Valley - Non Traditional xmas

Happy Sunday all,

Just a quick post today sharing my DT card for Dream Valley and this time we would like to see your non-traditional christmas creations.

The winner will win a goodie bag - how exciting!!

So here's my card and prepare to be shocked.......

...... thats right not a promarker or prisma pencil in sight!!! ...... I feel like such a cheat lol

Now I don't think you can get less Traditional than festive frogs can you!

I used "Peppa and Friends" decoupage and Paper pack which I bought years and years ago (before I discovered promarkers!).

I simply added some die cut corners, a bow and a sprinkling of Gems ..... i think i may have to make a few more of these simpler cards for the girls to give to friends/tachers at school.

Heres a shot of the inside .... the papers in this pack were fab and I truly enjoyed making this card!

So thats it .... can't wait to see what you all decide to make for our challenge ... looking forward to seeing you there!

Hugs xx Cara xx

DT Card - Gem of a Challenge

Morning all,

Today see's a new challenge at "A Gem of a Challenge" and this time we want to see - Paper Piecing!

This was the first time I ever paper pieced a digi stamp and i've got to say it wasn't half as difficult as I thought it would be.

This is the gorgous "Winter Phoebe" and she can be found here.  I just had to colour her hair red just like my eldest girlie Phoebe Jane, and yes this will be her christmas card.

The papers I used are the new Coconut Ice also from the Pink Gem store.

I didnt realise until now just how brilliantly pink my card looks - lol, also my Gems in the corner are really a lovely green colour to match the papers but they look almost black here :-(

So there you have it, I do hope you'll pop over and join in with my very first Challenge and if you need any tips or help with the paper piecing just leave me a little comment and i'll get back to you.

Love and hugs

Mr Fixit

Evening all,

Another late post from me, I came home from work and had to do the "big" shop with 3 hungry and tired girlies and Lee - it wasn't pleasant I can tell you and i'm shattered now.

I'm sharing my third and final Birthday card for Lee and this one is from Phoebe and Paige.

Meet "Mr Fixit" - he is from Mo's Digital Pencil and I think he is sooo handsome and looks just like my hubby!

He's been coloured with my promarkers as always and matted onto green Basill card stock.

I've used my brand new "octagon" die from Die-namics and more free papers from a magazine.

I hope Lee likes it ..... i've had great fun making his cards but I've got to say i'm glad they're all finished for another year and I can get back to making some nice easy girly creations!

Right i'm off to do some digi stamp shopping, i'll be up again tomorrow with my forst DT post for Pink Gems.

Night all

TTCRD - GDT card

Evening all,

Just a quick post tonight to share my guest DT post for Through The Craft Room Door.

This week their challenge is Anything Goes, nice and easy peasy and since there are so many "Thanksgiving" challenges going on I thought i would join in the fun.

Here's what I made:

This gorgeous little lady is another image from the Fabulous Tiddy Inks and she is called "Heartfelt Wishes"

I've coloured her with my promarkers as always.

I've used more of my older papers for this card (sorry not sure who by) and i made the flower with some paper blooms, die cuts and a brad.

The sentiment with matching die is from Whimsy and i've decorated the inside quite simply as always.

And there you have it, i'm off to watch Masterchef!

Love and hugs xx Cara xx

For Daddy

Hi everyone,

I'm sharing a card today which is for my hubby Lee's birthday next month from our youngest daughter Lacey May.

I've not made him cards before as he never seems to keen so I really hope he likes it.

I coloured this image (by Mo Manning) so many times trying to find a decent sepia colour combo...i'm still not entirely sure about it though.

I kept the card quite simple (for me) and just used some old DP's and added some trim from my stash.  The computer generated sentiment is matted onto a laser cut wooden frame.

Inside is decorated simply too.

I really hope you like it - i'm not too hot with male cards so please go easy on me ;-)

Thanks for visiting and i'll see you tomorrow with a GDT card.

Hugs

xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
