Skateboard Andy

Skateboard Andy

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!!

I'm sharing another boy's card  today and this time i've used the super cool Skateboard Andy from Pink Gem Designs.

I've Coloured him up with my promarkers and popped him up with some silicone glue on white and black card.

The papers are from LOTV and the sentiment was a mag freebie.  I added some faux stitching around the edges.

I don't know about you but I struggle with boy cards but Janet has some perfect images in the store ... and because you get the pre-coloured version (as well as the line drawing which I used) boys cards become a breeze to put together!

I hope you like my card today :-)

Goin Green at A Gem of a Challenege

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

We've had some strange weather here today, first bright sunshine, then rain, hail stone, wing and a bit of snow ... now its really warm again!!!

I hate when its too warm to have heating on to dry clothes yet too wet to peg them out :-(

Anyhoos it's time for another challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge and this week we want you to Go Green!

Now you can literally go Green or recycle something on your project.

Now green is not a colour I usually like to use on my cards, but after making this card I think I might use it a bit more :-)

Here's what I did:

This is the delightful Sitting Chloe and I have coloured her with my promarkers and a touch of white pen.

The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection and i've had them for about 2 years and finally opened them.

The flowers are WOC and I added some of those lovely die cut hearts on stems by Impression Obsession.

The sentiment is a freebie from a magazine.

I hope you like it and I cant wait to see your entries if you decide to join in with us this week.

DT Call - Mo's Dream Team

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well, i've had such a busy week off, i dont know how I ever find time to work :-)

I was doing a spot of blog hopping earlier this week and I came across this post asking for new DT member's for the uber fantastic Mo's Dream Team ..... well I decided "why not" I know i'm not the most experienced DT member but I love love love Mo's images and I adore working with digi's so why not give it a go????

So armed with my new G45 papers and my most favourite Mo Manning image here's what I did:

This is one of the gorgeous baby Fairies, I bought her/him in a set but if you can manage to chose just one then you can get them individually too. I coloured the image with my Prisma Pencils and added a touch of glitter with my Wink of Stella pen.

Isn't the image just adorable ... look at those chubby little legs lol.

I matteed my G45 papers with Coredinations card stock in cream and blue.

The flowers are from WOC and I added a die cut corner, sentiment and some pearls.

I really hope you like it, if you also like Mo Manning images scroll back through my blog and your sure to see more :-)

Love and hugs xx Cara xx

Hi everyone,

I'm sharing a card featuring one of the new Lilyboo digi's due to be released soon at Cuddly Buddly.

This is "Diggin In"

I coloured him up with my promarkers which was a bit tricky as I haven't used them in soooo long!

The papers I used are also from Cuddly Buddly and can be found here and here.

The gorgeous sentiment is from the store too!

I used my Marianne Craftables die to cut the aperture, Die-namics die for the large flower and my new La La Land Die for the gorgeous banner (thanks Jill).

A little stitching and some flowers from WOC to finish.

I hope you like it!

Sketch Time at A Gem of a Challenge

Good morning everyone!

It's a beautiful spring day here in Rotherham (if a little windy) and we have been very busy this morning!

I've done the big shop, cleaned up, mopped the floors, 2 loads of washing and cleaned the oven!

Any way its Saturday so that means a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this week we have a sketch for you provided by the lovely Katie.

I love a good sketch and this was a delight to work with!

I used the oh so pretty Chloe in heart PJ's and coloured her with my Prisma's

The papers are G45  ladies Diary - I can't believe I finally chopped into them - eeek! I did get away with using just one sheet though!

I added lace, gems, a punched border and faux stiching, a few flowers from WOC too (I had to colour some blue ones with a black promarker as I had run out)

The inside follows the same sketch.

I hope you like it and would love to see your take on the sketch too.

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx

First attempts with DI markers

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this from my IPhone so excuse the dodgy layout and pictures!

I wanted to share my first attempts with my new pens - I love the pens so much but I need A LOT more practice!

I'm struggling to find the correct paper to use as they all seem to "bobble" when I attempt to blend, I also need to get some brushes with a shorter brush length I think.

Anyhoos I'd love you to tell me what you think - good or bad!

Huggles xx Cara xx

Yippee my dear hubby has bought me the full set of Distress Ink markers for my birthday (I suppose I'll let him off for forgetting my card and remembering last night!)

So It'll be practice practice practice for me!
