Cutie Pie - Special Friend

Hi lovelies,

Bit of a busy week this week for me, I started my new job which so far has been great!  The best thing so far is that it takes me about 6minutes from leaving to getting home ... now that to me saves me about 2 hours a day ... so in theory I should have loads more time to craft now yaaaaaaay!

So on to my card...

I couldn't resist the adorable new Cutie Pie set from Tiddly Inks:

I coloured her up with my Spectrum Noir Pencils, I added some white gel pen details and re-outlined my image as always.

The papers are by LOTV and the sentiment is from a Polkadoodles CD.

Another clean and simple card for me, just finished of with some faux stitching.

Hope you like it, have a great Sunday every one.

Hugs xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Petal Lu May Challenge - Green

Hello lovelies,

I'm back today with my mid challenge inspiration for the Petal Lu May challenge and this month we would love to see you use green flowers .... remember you can submit anything as long as there is a green flower on there somewhere!

This week I chose this adorable image from Wee Stamps called Dreamy Dragon.  I coloured the little cutie with my Spectrum Noir Pencils.

I'm still trawling through that paper mountain of mine and found some to match perfectly with my image and flowers.

All but the pink flowers are hand made by the lovely Lucinda of Petal Lu ... aren't they beautiful!

I did finish off with some Wink of Stella but as always its a little camera shy :)

Hope you like it ... here are the links you need for all that is Petal Lu:

Ula - Be a Mermaid

Hi everyone!

What a week it has been!  The beginning of the week there was a hug fire at a recycling plant at the end of my street! luckily no one was hurt but we were evacuated from our homes for 2 days and now the huge clean up is in operation.  Everything stinks of burning plastic .... including all of my crafting goodies :(   The papers I had in my huge metal cabinet aren't bad but the ones I had left out aren't too good.

I also had my last day at my old job Friday, I am moving to a job much closer to home, I am so excited but really sad to say goodbye to many wonderful friends.

So now we are all caught up I have had a little time to craft this weekend .. in between cleaning and here is what I did:

This is the fabulous Ula Be a mermaid and her wonderful matching sentiment from Polkadoodles!

I used my Spectrum Noir pencils to colour her up and added some sparkle with my Copic Spica pens.

I did plan a totally over the top tropic flower power type of card but then ended up a little bit more bold and striking instead!

I used papers from my fabulous Trimcraft Paradise Crush pad.. I love these papers!  I added a double bow and of course some faux stitching to finish.

Hope you like it.

Petal Lu DT post - Yellow

Hi everyone,

I've been waiting for what seems like ages to do this post .... my very first post as part of the Petal Lu DT!!!!

This month our theme is Yellow .... so that means you must use some yellow flowers on your project (you can use other coloured flowers too) ... easy peasy right!

So here is my card ... I used a super cute image from Tiddly Inks .. this is Molly's cup of Love

Here is a close up of the beautiful flowers .... There is a fantastic discount on the mixed yellow pack here for the duration of Aprils challenge!

I also sneaked in some pretty blue flowers too :)

Papers are from a very old prima pad, gorgeous spring summer colours.

I matted with lots of Kraft and finished with a sentiment and some fussy cut butterflies.

School's out for Summer ....I wish!

Hello again lovelies

Its Team B's turn to showcase our makes for this weeks challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge and we are sponsored by Pickled Potpourri.

They have given me such a fun image to work with this week called Sweet Summer.

With such a bold image I chose to colour it in bright primary colours using my Prisma Pencils, I also added glossy accents to the sunshine and beach ball.  I love how the image looks like an old style polaroid picture.

I teamed the image with some gorgeous papers by My Minds Eye, more oldies from my paper mountain ... I will work through them all some day.  I added the sentiment using my Dymo machine and then some simple faux stitching.

And a final pic to show you the gloss on the beach ball and sunshine!

I hope you like it!
