Petal Lu Creations DT Post

Hi lovelies,

Today I am sharing my DT make for the Facebook Petal Lu challenge .

The theme is always anything goes so there is no reason not to join in, also if you use a Petal Lu flower on your creation you will be entered twice into the competition!

The Winner (picked randomly) will receive a 30% discount and the DT favourite will win a box of blooms!

So here is what I made:

I used the super cute Tiddly Inks Happy Bee Day image and coloured her up with my pencils.

The papers I used are old ones by Echo Park.

The sentiment is from my LOTV paper pad ... which I am using sparingly as they no longer make them!

Just check out the gorgeous blooms ... you can purchase these stunning flowers here.

I hope you like it and I hope you will pop by and join in the challenge!

Hugs xx Cara xx

Petal Lu July challenge - Peach

Hello all,

Its a wet and miserable day here in Yorkshire and its also he Day of Summer Crafting Live at Doncaster Race Course, unfortunately I can't make it again this year but I hope you all have fun if you go!!

Today is team B's turn to post the latest challenge on the Petal Lu Blog, now we have changed the rules a little ... the theme is ANYTHING GOES but if you use the flower choice of the month you stand the chance of winner more!

So this month the colour is Peach:

So here is what I made:

I used one of the adorable Cutie Pie images which comes in a set of 4 from Tiddly Inks here.

I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir Colour Blend pencils. The papers are from Anna Marie's Peach stack.

And of course it is finished of with beautiful Petal Lu flowers in Peach, Dark Peach and White, don't they match the papers perfectly!

I hope you like it

Cutie Pie - Special Friend

Hi lovelies,

Bit of a busy week this week for me, I started my new job which so far has been great!  The best thing so far is that it takes me about 6minutes from leaving to getting home ... now that to me saves me about 2 hours a day ... so in theory I should have loads more time to craft now yaaaaaaay!

So on to my card...

I couldn't resist the adorable new Cutie Pie set from Tiddly Inks:

I coloured her up with my Spectrum Noir Pencils, I added some white gel pen details and re-outlined my image as always.

The papers are by LOTV and the sentiment is from a Polkadoodles CD.

Another clean and simple card for me, just finished of with some faux stitching.

Hope you like it, have a great Sunday every one.

Hugs xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks - Blooming Beautiful
Challenge up your life - Blossoms

Petal Lu DT post - Yellow

Hi everyone,

I've been waiting for what seems like ages to do this post .... my very first post as part of the Petal Lu DT!!!!

This month our theme is Yellow .... so that means you must use some yellow flowers on your project (you can use other coloured flowers too) ... easy peasy right!

So here is my card ... I used a super cute image from Tiddly Inks .. this is Molly's cup of Love

Here is a close up of the beautiful flowers .... There is a fantastic discount on the mixed yellow pack here for the duration of Aprils challenge!

I also sneaked in some pretty blue flowers too :)

Papers are from a very old prima pad, gorgeous spring summer colours.

I matted with lots of Kraft and finished with a sentiment and some fussy cut butterflies.

Here are some handy links:

A new facebook page  (to show off those designs using Petal Lu Blooms, receive discounts and other promotional goodies, exclusive to the page)

I hope you like it,  I would love you to pop over and join our challenge!

Airbrushing with a Straw???????

Hi everyone,

If all goes to plan by the time you read this I should be in the Northern General having my op to try fix my dodgy digestive system ... I'll not go into to details but if it works I should feel a whole lot better in a few weeks.

Any hoos its Inspiration week for the current challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge at the Graph'it Marker Blog.

Now for the DT we had the tough challenge of creating Airbrush effects ... without the use of an Airbrush aaaaargh??

You can breath a sigh of relief though because the challenge for entrants is to use hot colours (you will see by my card that I totally missed this part lol)

So I cheated a little and dug out my cheapo spritzer tool, it fits most Alcohol Markers so it worked well after a little bit of practice.

I used this super cute new stamp set from Tiddly Inks, this is Monkey Around Wrynn, I got here in the Clear Stamp set, I couldn't find it in the store so I left you the link for the Digi set :)

I created a cloud mask on my Silhouette and used my spritzer tool to spray 3 different colour Graph'it Marker blues to create the clouds (after masking Wrynn off of course)

I also used the spritzer to create a border around the image.  The sentiment came with the stamp set.

I hope you like it, I had great fun spritzing and if you pop over to the challenge my awesome teamies have created their Airbrushing effects with old Biro tubes!!! Wow!

I hope you all like my card, have a great weekend and I will see you when I'm recovered.

Hugs xx Cara xx

BFF

Evening all,

Wow I know it's only been two days but this first week back at work is totally killing me, i'm so so tired and i look terrible ... i thought the christmas holidays were supposed to do us good lol.

I had a little time to play with some more new stash last night and here's what I made:

These two cuty patooties are Wrynn and Emmy - BFF's from the fabulos Tiddly inks and I have coloured them up with my Promarkers, i've tried a new combo for the blonde hair though and i'm not convinced ... hmmm i'll leave that one out to the jury

I used my new stash from My Minds Eye, Miss Caroline range for the entire card .... I really love this collection and wish I had bought a couple of paper pads.

Here's a quick peak at the inside .... getting a bit better with my camera now lol!

Well thats it for today I really need an early night ... Eastenders then bed for me I think!

Oh before I go though what do you think of my sparkly new blog??? I've finally figured out how to change the template and I lurrrve it - woo hoo!

Evening all,

Just a quick post tonight to share my guest DT post for Through The Craft Room Door.

This week their challenge is Anything Goes, nice and easy peasy and since there are so many "Thanksgiving" challenges going on I thought i would join in the fun.

Here's what I made:

This gorgeous little lady is another image from the Fabulous Tiddy Inks and she is called "Heartfelt Wishes"

I've coloured her with my promarkers as always.

I've used more of my older papers for this card (sorry not sure who by) and i made the flower with some paper blooms, die cuts and a brad.

The sentiment with matching die is from Whimsy and i've decorated the inside quite simply as always.

And there you have it, i'm off to watch Masterchef!
