LOTV WINE BOTTLE TAG

Happy Sunday everyone!!! i'm so happy today as i have won my very first challenge!!! if you peek to the left of this post you'll see my new CES blinkie woo hoo!  I had a wonderful time spending my winnings on the online store this morning.

onto my crafty offering for today:  i was invited to a BBQ yesterday and decided to make a little tag to pretty up the bottle of wine we took.

I used crafters compnion Centura Parl cardstock for the base tag and an EK success punch to make the hole for the bottle.

i matted and layers several cards and papers (sorry they were scraps so i'm unsure of the names)

Each layer was distressed with my TH tool and DI tattered rose, i also used my new  Sew Easy tool to pierce then sew around te outside.

The lovely image and sentiment are from LOTV which has been coloured with my promarkers and flexmarkers.  I also added stickles to her bunch of flowers and edge of her skirt.

The seam binding and pretty flowers are all from WOC.

I really hope you like todays offering, thanks a bunch for looking and any comments you may leave.

My new baby

Hello again!

I know I only posted a second ago but I thought this deserved a post of it's own - this is my new teeny tiny pussycat! She is only 2 weeks old so I haven't fetched her home yet. I'm going to call her cherry (I'm obsessed with cherries lol).

I can't wait to fetch her home, I home my other cat loves her too xx cara xx

Molly blooms Xmas gift

Hello all, I hope your having a wonderful weekend! I'm feeling a little sorry for myself as my partner us going away for a week on work training tomorrow boo hoo! That also means that I won't have time to visit my crafty space what with working full time, looking after 3 girls a cat a dog and a ferret and also planning the wedding!

Anyway onto my project - this is the first time I've altered anything, it didn't turn out as well as I had imagined but we all have to start somewhere I suppose.

This gift box started life as a plastic packaging tube from a novelty alarm clock, I wrapped it in dp's from a pad I got yonks ago. I stamped and coloured 2 Molly's, 2 george's and 3 gingerbread banners (all bought from the craft box) I used my pro/flex markers. The flowers and leaves are made using an MC die in matching DP with some WOC mingled in.

I made this box to match the card in my previous post and it is perfectly sized to fit one of those dinky bottles of wine.

I hope you like my project.

Blessings xx cara xx

Happy bloomin' Xmas!

Evening all!

I finally finished this card it has taken me an age! I've been busy with wedding preparations all week so I've gad to finish this card in 10 minute snippets here and there.

The good news is almost everything is sorted now - I even made a decision on my wedding ring today (I've only been trying to chose one for over a year lol).

Anyway on to my card, the new Molly bloom Xmas stamps finally arrived at my local craft shop (the craft box in elsecar) so I picked up these four and immediately pictured this card in my head. I inked them up as soon as i got them home (last week) and it's taken me this long to finish the card!

I used my promarkers and flexmarkers to colour them in.

The dp is also from a selection at the craft box, the snow flakes are from a MC die.
The flowers and seam binding are from WOC and everything has been distressed with TH walnut stain - I can't seem to lay any paper down without distressing and inking it to death lol.

I went for a lot darker card than I usually do I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for visiting my little blog..

BOO!!!!

I was going to start my blog post with the words "happy Sunday everyone" but then this day can never be a happy day again..... My thoughts go out to everyone affected by the most horrendous man made disaster known simply as 9/11.

I would like to share a card today made with my first ever simply sassy girly stamp - isn't she adorable! I can confidently say I'm going to become a sugar addict.

I think I'll make another one of these (maybe in another colour) then I can give them to my two eldest girls for halloween.

I've used a fab sketch from the sugar bowl, which has the added option of using up your scraps. I chose to use up my offcuts from my Crafters companion enveloper paper pack with is all different colours and textures in a purple theme.

I coloured my image using my promarkers and flexmarkers, I used spellbinders to cut my cordinations card which I then sanded and inked, I also used an old flourish stamp to make it all look pretty. The flower is from WOC and the sentiment is handwritten as I had no Halloween ones at all (poor me boo hoo).

Finally I added a few gems and pins then decorated the inside to match ( sounds like a lot of work for a tiny 5x5 card doesn't it)

So that's all for now, thanks for visiting and any comments you may leave (I luuuuuurve getting them) xx cara xx

Antique little boys

Evening all, ive just put kiddlywinks to bed so I have a minute to post this card I finished for my father in law, this one is from the girls. The cheeky image and sentiment are from the Crafters companion swalk 2 collection. I've coloured him in with my promarkers and matted and layered with paper called moments in time (it came with some Joanna sheen stamps). I used a Martha Stewart edge punch and then made the rosette with matchin paper and a scoreboard.

I really must admit (having had to make two in the past two days) CAS men's cards are definitely not my style!

I'm off now to make a start on my Christmas cards with my new sugar Nellie stamps - yum!

As always thanks for looking

Popcorn clean and simples!

Hola! I hope I hope Tuesday is treating you all well. I'm having a quiet day having woke up with a blinder of a headache, it may have something to do with the fact I was up finishing this card at gone midnight. I originally stamped the lovely image onto watercolour paper and attempted to colour in with my whispers but I have some new water fill brushes and couldn't get the water flow right. My picture was ruined ( why do mistakes happen when you need the card the next day????). Anyway I stamped popcorn again in brown monento onk and coloured him in my tried and tested promarkers. The rest of the card is very simple ad it's for my future father in law (only 9 weeks to the wedding). I've done some simple mat and layering and stamped the complementary images in brown momento for the inside.

I hope you like, thanks for looking

Spring time tilda

Good afternoon all, just a quick post today as I'm cooking spag Bol.
I have a card to share today which I made just for fun as I sorted my stamp drawer out and found these two beauties un inked! I've left it with no sentiment so I can add one when I decide who it's for. I've coloured tilda and the lovely background with my promarkers and added a load of diamond stickles. The flowers are a mix of hand made and WOC. I cut the aperture using the largest of my small circle nesties. Any how have to go pasta's boiling over.

Thanks for looking today

Sweet mischief!

Good morning dear bloggers, hope your weekend is goin well so far.
I'm sat eagerly waiting to set off to my promarker class at the craft box (am so excited) -I don't get out much lol.
I have a card to share with you today but I'm not entirely happy with it, I changed my method and chose the challenges I was going to enter then designed my card (I usually do my one thing then see which challenges it covers). I think I may stay with my original method as this didn't quite work. Anyhoooo the stamp is the very lovely sweet mischief from Elizabeth bells peekers 1 collection. She has been coloured with my promarkers and flexmarkers, I really live how they work together. The papers are picnic in the park by serif and the lively flowers are WOC.
hope you like my card - I'm off to stock my pencil case for class whoop whoop xx cara xx

Back to school Molly

Good morning all! It's back to school for my little darlings on Monday and wooooo hoooooo is all I can say lol. With several challenges going with the back to school theme I thought I'd create something a little different. My girls school sells "healthy tuck" at morning playtime so the kids can buy a price of fruit. I decided to decorate their little brown money envelopes for a little surprise for Monday. I've used the lovely Molly bloom stamp coloured in with my promarkers, I've backed the image with torn, embossed, sanded and inked coredinations card and the buntin has been made the same way and then stamped punched letters glued on to spell "tuck".

Hope you like and thanks for visiting me xx cara xx

Owl project

Hi, I've not had chance to post lately I've been so busy with wedding plans and sports days etc (I've not had much crafting time either)

I wanted to post this k made for my little girl Paige she saw if in my magazine and loved it (let's get crafting knitting & crochet issue 33)

The pattern wasn't the easiest to understand so I had to work most if it out from the picture but it only took a couple of hours. I hope she likes it.

Ribbon flowers

Hi,

These are some flowers I've just made after seeing the you tube video (posted below). The lady in the vid is just so sweet and her flowers are just so pretty! Mine look a little flat but I'm sorta pleased with them.
