He has been coloured with my pro-markers and a little white gel pen.

The papers are Portobello Road mounted onto Bazzil Basics Red paper.

I used my new Whimsy scrabble tile letters, a mixture of dies and punches and a clip from my stash .

One last sideways view and then i'm off to figure out what envelope it will fit into.

Butterflies.

Hi everyone I just wanted to share this truly touching post o  the Saturated Canary blog - by Krista Smith

Butterflies.

Butterfly Babies.
Sounds pretty sweet and lovely.

Except it isn't.

This week, my sister Jen left me a link on FB to a family whose infant son has Epidermolysis Bullosa.  I had never heard of the disease before.  I'm not sure that, if I sat for an entire day and tried to imagine the worse disease for a child, that I could have imagined this disease.  It is truly that upsetting.  You can read more about it here.

I sat and read through the Butterfly Fund site, and felt sick to my stomach.  I just sobbed.  These children, so beautiful and precious, with skin as delicate as a butterfly's wings.

I cannot imagine not being able to hug and squeeze and cuddle Niamh and Philly.  The mamas of butterfly babies cannot do this.  That breaks my heart.  It puts so much in perspective-- magnifies the gift of a hug before school and a kiss goodnight.

Jen asked me to do something for the families.
I was excited that she asked me to help a cause she feels so passionately about.  And, after researching EB and spending a night crying all over my keyboard, I am more than happy to put it in front of my readers/customers and hopefully raise a little to help these children and families.

"Butterfly Baby" will be available Thursday in my shop.  All proceeds from this digital stamp for the first week of sales will go to the Butterfly Fund charity.  I spent a lot of time drawing and re-drawing and then starting over again for this stamp:).  I wanted something ...

Tilda in Leaves

Hi dear blogging friends,

Today I have a very autumnal card to share with you.  There are so many challenges about at the moments asking for Autumnal colours I thought I would have a go.

This card took me ages, it started off as one of those "fantastic ideas" but then it didnt materialise how I had imagined, it was going to be a gate fold card but it didnt quite work, then I decided on a double step card but that didnt quite turn out either - boo!

I ended up with this -

I'm not entirely happy with the card but I think its because it didnt end up the way I planned.
I left the bunting bare so I could add a sentiment when I know who it's for.

Ingredients:

Images: Magnolia & Make It Crafty (Background digi)
Colouring: Pro Markers & Prisma Pencils
Dies: Marrianne, Whimsy
Punch: Woodware
Cardstock: Coredinations, Centura pearl (handmade base card)

Here you can just see how I laid accetate behind the tree die so I could cover it with punched leaves.

Inside I kept really CAS, just matted coredinations and used the negative of the tree die as a stencil.

I do hope you like my card and I really appreciate any comments you may leave.

Love and hugs xx Cara xx

Gingerloft DT Card - Embossing Challenge

Hello again everyone, I'm here again with my second post of the day and this time i'm sharing my DT card for the new challange over at Gingerloft.

This time we would like to see your embossing skills, wet or dry we arent fussy.

I decided to go with just words this time - unusual for me I know!

I used the "Butterfly flight" quote which is a freebie over at the Gingerloft store.

I must apologise for the poor quality of my photos, I tried so many times to get better ones but I think it's because I used centure pearl card and glittery DP's (First Edition - Dream Catcher) - it all got a bit too much for my poor camera lol!

I kept the embellies to a minimum (for me anyway) and just went with die cut butterflies, corners and some hobby house pearls.

Here's a sideways view where you can just see I decorated the inside to compliment the front.

I hope you like my card and I would love it if you could come join me over at Gingerloft for this challenge.

Love n hugs  xx Cara xx

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Use it Tuesday - Anything Goes
Try it on Tuesday - Anything Goes

This is Digidarla's Butterfly Wonder and she has been coloured with my promarkers with liquid pearls dotted arround her.

The gorgeous papers I used are from a pad called "A walk in the Garden" and I love them, I really wish I'd picked up a couple of pads cos I love love love them and I've not seen them anywhere since
:-(

I used my new Whimsy Double scallop die and the butterflies are from Cheery Lyn.

The sentiments is from the paper pad and a selection of flowers from WOC.

The inside is just simply decorated with more from that lush pad (if any one knows where I can purchase any more of these I would appreciate if you could let me know ;-D)

And a sideways view as always.

Keep calm.... theres no colouring!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm posting today from Doncaster station as I've just been to a class at Which Craft, we made a lovely desk tidy.... However it will take a lot more than that to tidy my desk lol.

The card i'm posting is one I made for my father-in-law who's birthday it was yesterday.

It is based on the latest sketch from "Tuesday morning sketches" chalkenge (link below) and I have used a fab digi print from pink gem designs.

I decided to make a little keepsake card and made a little pocket inside to hold some photos.

The papers I used are DCWV Latte stack - great for male cards.

I made a envelobox and followed the sketch onto there too.

I do hope you like my creation.

Love n hugs xx cara cxx

Evening all,

Its new challenge time at Challenges 4 Everybody and this week the challenge is......................... yes you guessed it .................... Anything Goes as always!!!!!

Here is my first DT card, I used Molly blooms "witch" stamp (coloures with my promarkers) and Graphic 45 paper pad "Happy Haunting"

This is another image I found in my "coloured" pile just waiting to make it onto a card.

Sorry about the rubbish picture (i dont know what happened to the colour)  I used lots of seperate papers from the Graphic 45 pad and the sentiments is cut from there too,the flowers are WOC (except the resin one - not sure where thats from)

There is also a really nice metal corner on the card but as I coloured it in black you cant see it too well on the picture.

I hope you like my little card and I really hope to see you over at Challenges 4 Everybody this time!!!

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx

Tilda with Summer flower

Evening all

I'm sharing a card today which I made just for fun.

I've used tilda with summer flower - she has been waiting in my new stamps pile since she was first released (shame on me)

She has been coloured up with my pro-markers and prisma pencils with stickles on her wings.

I fussy cut her out so I could give some dimension behind her and then added some liqud pearls around her.

The paper is used is actually the front cover to the First Edition "Spring Fest pad, I thought the patchwork look of all the paper samples looked lovely so I fussy cut out the name in the centre and popped my image in there.

Here i hope you can see more closely the cutting out - it took a while I can tell you!

I used lots of embellies today including flowers (WOC and Prima) Pearls (Hobby House).

I decorated the inside with coordinations papers.

and one last pic then i'm all done.

Thanks for popping by today, I do hope you like my little card - and dont forget my blog candy below is open for a full week!

Birds of a feather at the Gingerloft Challange

Evening everyone!

I have my first DT card for the Gingerloft Challenge to share today (i'm a bit late as i'm having massive problems with my web connection grrrrrrr).

Any way i'm here now, the new Challenge will go live tomorrow and is "Birds of a Feather".

I chose this super cute cartoon style birdie and sentiment - both from the Gingerloft Store,  and decided to go with really bright colours for my card.

The image is coloured with my promarkes.

I had a go at cutting my picture with my spellbinders yet leaving the wings and tail poking out over the edges - it took me so many attempts before I got it right though.

The papers I used are another freebie from a magazine.

I matted all of my layers with cordinations and added corners and pearls

I have decorated the inside to compliments the front.

So I do hope you like my little card and that you can come and join me at the Gingerloft Challenge this time (you dont have touse a Gingerloft image but it would be fantastic if you did!).

Thats all for now, I do have another card to share and I havent forgotten about my promise of blog candy - i'm just running behind a little with this silly internt malarky.

Love and hugs xx Cara xx
