Inky Pinkies DT Post

Hi everyone!

Hope you are enjoying the start of the long weekend??? I certainly am and I plan on doing as little as possible as I've been feeling a little worse for wear this past week.

I've actually cheated for my Inky Pinkies DT project this week and i'm using one of my samples from the Create and Craft show this week for the launch of the new collections - Magic Garden and Little Kingdom.

I used the digi elements from the Little Kingdom to create my picture which I then printed out onto watercolour card and embossed with print magic.

I painted it using my new Gansai Tambi Watercolours although I used them a lot more thickly than i should I think. I also used the pearl shimmer colour as a wash over the background.

For something a little different to a card I framed my piece,  I finished with sequins from pretty pink posh and added clear wink of stella to the flowers.

I hope you like it.

Inky Pinkies DT post!

Happy Saturday!!

I'm just popping in quickly to share my Inky Pinkies DT post and today I have used to super adorable little fat Bee from the Winnie Fruit Punch collection.

He is actually an embellishment on the collection but just look at him .... he deserves a card all to himself he's so cute!

The great think about Nikky's collections is that all of the images and the embellishments come in coloured and black and white so you can colour them any colours you like!

I coloured him in with my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolours and added some Silver Graph'it Shake marker to his little wings.

The papers I used are also from the collection.  I used a honeycomb die I've had in my stash for year un used from MFT

I also found out a brand new pad of distress kraft core cor'edinations, I sanded it back to look distressed.  I finished off with some faux stitching and of course some flowers from WOC.

I hope you like it!

I'm having a bit of a tough time with my porrly pancreas today so I'm going go have a little lay down on the sofa I think!

Enjoy your weekend.

Red and Pinks at the Pencil Cases Challenge

Hi everyone,

Hope you've had a good week!

Today is the start of a new challenge at the Pencil Cases Blog and this fortnight we would like to see you use Reds and Pinks, remember you can use any colouring medium to join in!

Our fabulous sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies and they are offering a $12 gift certificate for the winner, there is also a Lyra prize to be won too!

Prize - $12 gift card for store

My image this week is called Aloha Blooms and can be found here. Isn't she stunning!

I didn't really have much to colour in red and pink so I went for a pink bikini and red flowers in her hair!

I went for a very Clean and simple card for me, I thought she was stunning enough and with the sentiment from Stamping up I didn't feel it needed much more, some simple doodling around the papers and a touch of Wink of Stella on her lovely flowers.

I hope you like it!

Hi everyone!

This week we start another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Blog and this week our theme is Spring Florals.

We are sponsored by patties creations, you can find their etsy shop here and they are offering the winner some images!

We the DT have a choice of two colour pallettes to work from, you can use them too or use whatever colours you fancy!

My image this week is called "Thinking of You" and can be found here

I went for the bright bold colours, I know my image is a sunflower but who says they have to be just yellow right??

My card is only 5x5 so the flowers I embellished with look huge!!

I hope you like it!

Winnie Sending Wishes

Good afternoon my lovelies,

I've had such a busy week this week its been horrible so my hubby and kiddos have let me chillax a bit this aft in my craft room and get my Inky Pinkies DT make finished.

I used the "Bunting" image from the Winne Sugar Sprinkles Collection, you can buy her on her own here.

I coloured her with my Lyra Rembrandt Poly Colour pencils, I used an old paintbrush and sansador to blend the sky.

The paper, butterfly and sentiment were from the Winnie Fruit Punch collection here.

I finished off with some die cut flowers and of course some stickles.

I hope you like it!

The Pencil Cases Challenge - Q = Quad (4 of something)

Happy Saturday,

This week has been so busy I'm so glad its the weekend!

Its time for the start of another challenge over at the Pencil Cases Blog and this week we would like to incorporate 4 of something into your make.  Remember you can colour with any medium and enter it into our challenge!

My image this week is called Poppies and can be found here.  I cropped it down so that there were only 4 poppies to meet the quad theme, I also used pencils to for colouring the poppies.

I used a watercolour card with a heavy texture so the white parts still show through a little.  I used Sansador to blend my background.

The sentiment is an MFT die (which cut 4 times lol) and layered up to give dimension and I finished off with some simple matting and layering (4 layers ha ha)

I hope you like it.

Winnie Fruit Punch Launch day 3

Hello,

I'm back to share another project for the final launch party day of the brand new Winnie Fruit Punch collection from Polkadoodles!

Today I used another Design sheet (can you tell I just love these)  The one I used is called Shoes and Shopping.

I went for a plain square card base and basically layered and layered lol!

I only added on extra sheet of patterned paper from the CD, some ribbon and a flower.

Of course I just had to add plenty of stickles too ... oh and some black gel pen to make her eyes pop!

I hope you like it!

Huge hugs

Winnie Launch party - Day 2

Hiya hope you are having a lovely Sunday!!

The girls are going back to school tomorrow after the Easter Holidays so they have been making the most of the lovely spring weather and have been playing out in the garden and that means I have had more time to play in my craft room!

So today I am sharing another make using the fantastic new release from Nikky at Polkadoodles - Winnie Fruit Punch.

Again I used one of the design sheets, I love these, I like to print a sheet of patterned paper that co-ordinates and with just the two sheets I can decorate both the inside and the outside of a card, the embellishments also come on the sheet and there is usually some left over too!

I used "Thinking of You Winnie" design sheet and if you want to buy just this sheet you can find it here.

I only added the die cut circular frame and the punched border, the rest is from the sheet!

I hope you like it!

Don't forget the Launch Party happening on facebook right now for loads more inspiration!

Easter Treats at the Graph'it Marker Blog

Hiya lovelies!!!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Colour Crazy blog  and this week our theme is Easter Treats.

Our lovely sponsor is All Dressed up and they are offering two images to a lucky winner, dont forget there are also Graph'it Marker prizes up for grabs too!

Prize 2 images

So us the DT were given two scrummy colour pallettes to work from, you can go with these if you like or chose your own.

My image this week is called three little party girls and is sooooooo adorable - it just reminds me of my own three girlies.  I adore the pallettes too and went with the pinky one - perfect for my super girly card!

The colours are so pale I found it difficult to get a decent picture, I did colour a background with the pinks and greys and added glitter and allsorts ... you will have to take my word for it lol

I treated myself to some lush new templates from Dutch Doobadoo thus easter and this is the oval swing card.  I just had to decorate it up with loads of lace, pearls and ribbon.

Here I tried to get a better pic of the background and all the sparkles but is still seems its very camera shy!

I hope you like it, have a great weekend!
