Good Morning everyone,

I'm here (super early for me i've been up since the crack of dawn) to share one of two cards I have made for Cuddly Buddly's new release from Lilyboo designs here.

There are some gorgeous new designs and a lot of them are perfect for your summer makes.

This is the super cute "Beary Best friend" and I love love loved colouring her up with my pro/flex markers.

I fussy cut her out and popped her up on some foam pads.

The gorgeous sentiment is from my Welington stamp set and I think I will use this on a lot!

The papers are from Pebbles and I have used my Marianne Dies to make the flower and swirls.

I've decorated the inside simply to match the front.

I hope you like it, I'll be up again later to share another sample from the same Digi Stamp range.

Love and hugs

Cara xx

Dream Valley - Ribbon and Bling

Happy Sunday everyone!

It's such a wonderfully sunny day here in Rotherham it really feels like spring is on its way and i love it.

Thankfully Cherry is feeling so much better today... she's even managed to play with her scratch post a little so i'm feeling loads better.

Today see's the start of a new challenge over at Dream Valley and this time we would like to see Ribbon and Bling on your project (Must use both).

Our sponsor this time is:

We are an online ribbon emporium, a treasure trove of lush drop dead gorgeous ribbons - and a few buttons! has a ribbon for any conceivable occasion and even ribbon printed to order, perfect for personalising your craft. We offer bargain bags and our Bev picks her favourites regularly and always offering great value for money. We also have a Crafty Ribbons Blog where we offer a Friday freebie, a chance to win some luscious ribbon every week. We also provide plenty of inspiration for using our gorgeous ribbon and show off our new and up coming stock.Crafty Ribbons

Prize - Bev bag selection

This time (due to a slight miscalculation lol) you will have 3 whole weeks to get your entry in.

So here's what I did

I used something I have never used before..... a paper craft kit from Crafters Companion!!!  This is the Gorgeous Angelica and friends.

Now I never ever buy paper kits but this one came free with the CDRom and stamps I bought and for all i think it's lovely, i dont think this type of crafting is really my thing... it sort of felt like cheating if you get me lol.

I used a card blank for "whichcraft" this is also a first for me and I found it really difficult not using my "safe" square card!

Thee only thing extra I added was Mirror Card (another thing I never use), some ribbon from my stash and some gems.

I'm not sure how I feel about this card .... I hope you like it.

I'm off now to prepare the Sunday lunch, I may be back up later with another card (more in my "Safe" style)

Catch you later.

Hugs xx Cara xx

Pink Gem - Die Cuts/Punches

Good Morning everyone,

I've just had the worst night sleep ever, I spent the night on the sofa as Cherry (my kitty) decided to hide herself under there after I removed her lamp shade so she could eat.

Me and hubby spent over an hour trying to coax her out but every time we got close to her she growled and tried to bite me, the poor thing was in such a state :-(

Any hoos, today card is for the new challenge over at A Gem a Challenge and this time we would like to see Die cuts or punches on your creation ... easy peasy!!

The winner will receive two Digi's of their own choice from Janet's lovely store!

This is the super cute Dragon Josh (he comes as a pre-coloured version too) and I coloured him with my flex markers.

I've used DCWV Safari Kids stack for this card, I love this pad, great for little boys.

I also used my x-cut stars die and my Die-namics border die and tabs die.

Everything has been matted with brown and black card.

Here you can see the inside and I used and image from the Fabosaurus Stamp set, you get loads of images in here, all with pre-coloured and black line options - such a fab pack for little boys cards.

I coloured this little fella with my flex markers.

And there you have it, i'm not suwho i'm going to give this card to as I only have girls but at least its on for the box :-)

I've had a day off from work today as my little kitty Cherry has been to the vets for neutering, the poor thing is sat sulking in her cat box now and she is sporting a very fetching lamp shade ... she's not eaten since yesterday so she is very weak and i'm very worried about her :-(

Altered Tissue Box

Hi everyone,

I'm sharing today my very first post on the Pink Gem Inspiration Blog and my very first altered item too!

I'm a little nervous so please be gentle with me :-)

I have 3 girls at home and one thing that really bugs me is never being ale to find hair bobbles in the morning rush, so I altered a little tissue box to keep them all in a safe place.

What better images to decorate it with,  than Janet's lovely range of Chloe digi's.

I used four of the Chloe digi's  but there are lots more to chose from in the store.

This is Chloe with Daffodils.

This is Rainbow Chloe

and Chloe in knitted hat

And finally Chloe on swing.

I've coloured them all with my Promarkers but when you purchase these images you also receive the pre-coloured images in the pack too!

And a quick peak at the top.

I really hope you like my project today and it's shown that you an use Janet's images for more than just cards.

Before I go i would also like to welcome my lovely new followers, it's so nice having you here!!!

I should be back tomorrow with something a little different to share :-)

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - Anything Goes

FOUR!!!!

.... isn't that something they when playing Golf????

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and preparing for the forecast snow???

Today i'm sharing a card I have made to order for a lady at work.

(sorry the photo's still aren't great, I did get a daylight lamp but unfortunately it's not tall enough to work properly with my light box so i'm afraid i'm going to have to either get another new lamp or a different light box...)

Anyway, here's my card

This image is from Teddy Bo and i really enjoyed colouring him in ... I love how he can bearly see out from under his golf cap :-)

He's been coloured up using my pro/flex markers.

I've used DCWV Naturals stack and Bazzil basics for the layering.

I've faux stitched everything as usual and decorated the inside too.

And there you go! Just a quick post from me as my youngest daughter Lacey is being a very naughty little girl and is currently sat on the naughty step .. tut tut.

Love and hugs xx Cara xx

Dream Valley - Valentines

Hi everyone, i'm back today with yet another Valentines card, this time for our new challenge over at Dream Valley.

This challenge is sponsored by ....

and the winner will receive 4 digi's of their choice.

Before i get onto my card  must tell you about the weekend i've had!  Yesterday as you know my printer broke, luckily it was just the power lead and I had a spare from my old printer.

This morning i got up and went down for a coffee, only to notice my kitchen ceiling bowing and dripping wet.... my en-suite has now flooded ...i'm so very fed up now of water!

We got that fixed and I decided to escape to my craft room (to take my mind off all the decorating we have to do now).

I was busily working away on this card when "THUMP" my lamp spontaneously snapped and the top half smacked me on the bloody noggin!!! I can tell you the air was most definitely blue!

I have been trying all aft to find somewhere to buy a new daylight lamp or at least a bulb but oh no...every one has sold out.

Wow ... what a weekend!

Any hoos, you didn't visit to hear my moans did you? On to my card..

This is a fab image from Meljens and trust me when I say it has been coloured in red and pink, yet without my trusty lamp the colours just don't show the same :-(

The papers are yet more freebies and I love them :-)

I used the negatives from my heart circle die cut to decorate the corners and the ribbon is from the Red mini kit for "The Ribbon Girl"

Had no time to decorate the inside i'm afraid, i might get round to it later though.

I hope you like it, thanks to those of you who have visited and left lovely comments lately, I promise I will get around to visiting you all soon.

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine - Hearts Galore
Digi Galore - 3 Colours only
Brown Sugar - Red/Hearts
2 Sisters - Colour Challenge
Crafty Calendar - Love and Marriage

Hello again, back with my second post of the day.

This time i'm sharing my DT card for the fabulous Pink Gem Challenge and this week it is the turn of the Pinks and we would like to see "checks or gingham" on your project.

Now i was going to use some of Janet's fab digi papers on my card but my printer has just concked out on me :-( , there's nothing stopping you heading over to the store and getting some for yourself though!

Luckily I had already printed off my digi for this project so here it is:

How cute are these little ows??? Look at their wonky eyes lol.

This is the pre-coloured version but you do get the black line drawing too when you purchase it.

And here's my card, the papers were freebies from a magazine again, matted onto coredinations, distressed and faux stitched.

I used an old sketch from the "Sweet Stop"

I used my circle nesties and possibly my new fave die the little heart is adorable!

I finished off with a couple of buttons and another new die for the bow (dainty bows from die-namics)

Finished! i hope you like it.

Cupboard Trilogy - Red and Romance

Hi everyone,

I'm a little....well ... a lot late with this post .... in fact i'm a little late with everything this week!

The good news is that Lacey May and Hubby are now feeling much better and are back to their normal selfs.

The bedroom and bathroom have dried out thank fully and I can finally get on with some DT work.

This card is for the new challenge over at The Cupboard Trilogy and this month we would like to see "A sprinkling of Red and Romance" on your card, Layout or altered art piece.

I went for something a little different (for me) this time and used a fab digi from Whimsy Doodles.

Easy peasy to colour with my promarkers ... just two colours and done!

I used a fab sketch but again I cannot find where from ..... i really must find a better way of organising my sketches :-(

The fab hearts embossing folder is new and is by cuttlebug. And i've die cut everything with my circle nesties

This card is for my hubby, do you think he'll like it? ... i hope he will.

That's it from me just now, i'll be back up soon though with another late DT creation.
