My Sweet Sweet Daughter

Hello everyone .. i'm finally back from what seems like a year long break from my humble blog and i've been having serious withdrawal symptoms!

I hope you all have had the best Christmas ... mine has been like a big chocolaty whirlwhind!!! ... so much so i'm off to register at Fat club today lol!

I had some lovely gifts from santa as did my three girls and hubby .. more of that in another post.

Onto my card .. it's my middle daughter Paige's birthday just after new year, i've made here two cards and here's the first ..

I love love love these two ballerinas from LOTV, they remind me of Paige so much!

I printed out the sentiment first then stamped on the images.

I didn't really do much else to the card, Pearls and flowers from WOC and The Ribbon girl and some DP from my scraps box.

And a final view of the inside.

I hope you like my card and I would like to wish you all a fabulous new year!

Love and crafty hugs xx Cara xx

Dream Valley DT - Christmas

Evening my little christmas puddings :-p

I'm here with a quick post this evening to share my DT card for the new challenge over at Dream Valley.

This is our very last challenge for 2012 and will run for a whole month.

We have four fantastic sponsors and to make it extra easy for you our challenge theme is simple "Christmas"  - there's no excuse for you not to join!

Here's my card:

I used a super cute digi image from Cuddly Buddly and coloured it with my promarkers and lots of stickles.

This is a large 8 x 8 card and the papers are yet more old ones from last year matted with glitter card .  I faux stitched all around and finished off with a ribbon, a bow, a poinsetta and die cut frostyville border.

The sentiment is computer generated.

The inside is decorated with more DP's, glitter card and another computer generated greeting.

I hope you like my card.

Thank you for visiting me, I appreciate you must all be very busy preparing for christmas.

Love and christmassy hugs

xx Cara xx

Pink Gem - Lavender & Lace

Afternoon sweeties,

Sorry for not being around much lately, things are getting really hectic around here in a christmassy kinda way!

I'm only just finding time to get my DT cards done and my craft room is feeling a little neglected ... still it'll all be over in a few little weeks!

Any hooooo onto todays card and this is my DT creation for our new challenge over at "A Gem of a Challenge".

This challenge is our last this year and will run until the next challenge on 5th January.

This time we would like to see "Lavender and Lace" on your creations so perfect for all of those birthday and mothers day card you might want to get started on.

Heres what I did:

This is the lovely Faye with Flowers and I have coloured her with my promarkers.

I've used my new spellbinders oval die to frame her and some gorgeous papers from Nit Wits through LOTV.

Everything has been given the distress ink treatment and the sentiment and corner dies are from Whimsy.

The lace and blooms are from WOC and the inside has also been decorated.

So there you have it, I really enjoyed making this as I was desperate for a break from crimbo cards!

Hope you like my card and I would love it if you could join me and the other Pink Gem girls in the last challenge of 2012.

Love and hugs

xx Cara xx
