Dark Skin tones with Graph'it Markers

Hello all i'm here with my DT card for the Graph'it Marker Colouring Challenge.

Now this week we (the poor DT) have been challenged to colour dark skin tones with our lovely pens ... you on the other hand can enter as long as you have colour Dark Hair with any markers!!!

So easy peasy for you guys right????.

Now I must warn you that this was my first ever attempt at colouring darker skin ... and while there is lots and lots of room for improvement (really there is loads) I'm still pleased I gave it a try - dont be too hard on me when you see it ... i'll be hiding under the table if you want me :)

I used this adorable image from Krista Smith called Jumper (sorry guys I couldn't find her in the shop to give the link)

The papers were from my scraps box and I used my Grand nesties to create the shaped card blank.

The sentiment is a new one from Stampin' Up.

I hope you like it, I would love to see you join our challenge this week!

DICC # 65 - Jelly Park

Hi everyone!

I've had a rare day off from work today with my girlies.  We went into town and had lunch with a very dear friend of mine who's celebrating her birthday on Sunday (hi Jill).

So when I saw the itinerary and the lovely sponsor image for this weeks challenge at Desert Island Crafts I knew I wanted to make a card for my lovely crafty friend.

So here's the details of the challenge:

Our new sponsor this week is:

remember to use at least 3 items from it and to mention which ones you used in your post.

1. Fireworks
2. On a dark night (make a night time scene on your project)
3. Twit Twoo - There's an owl watching you.
4. Trees
5. Stars
6.  Don't be square (make a shaped project)
7. Sparkle please (sparkly gems & glitter)
8. Texture please (embossing, fabric, wood, etc.)
9. Friends
10.  Use a quote for your sentiment.

Here's what I did:

I coloured the cute image with my Graph'it markers.

The lovely papers are from a HOTP kits I got ages ago from Create and Craft and I loved it so much I couldnt bear to cut it up .... but my friend was worth it :)

I added glitter 3d sticker gem type things lol not quite sure what they are called and I finished off the inside with more of the lush papers.

I hope you like it and would love to see you join our challenge.

Before I go here's a little pic of my girlies all dressed up for Trick or Treating last night ...

They had a great night and now have bags full of treats to munch their way through this weekend!

Loads of hugs xx Cara xx
