Digi Queens inspiration post!

Hi everyone!

Today i'm sharing my Polkadoodles Digi Queens inspiration make .....

I have chosen to use the new Octavia best friends image

I have created a sepia tone using my graph'it markers and added highlights with my Gold glitter shake pen.

I have teamed her up with papers of the same tones and added gold and white frantage around the image.

Finally I added feathers, leaves and a wooden word which I coloured with distress ink and gold glitter shake pen.

I hope you like it!

Extra FX inspiration at the Graph'it Marker Blog

EEEEK i'm late posting my inspiration for the current Graph'it Marker Challenge, i'm so sorry guys I don't know where the time got to this week!

So this week we would love to see all the  special tricks and effects you can create with your alcohol markers .... these can be things such as spotty effects, stripes, backgrounds or textures!!!

The winner will receive a fab prize as always!!!

I used the adorable "Mr Foxy" digi image for my creation today ... he was a freebie over on the Polkadoodles Face book gorup a couple of weeks ago but if you are quick you can snag him for just £1 right now here.

For my special FX i decided to create a sunset sky background ..... I used a tone of colours and just kept building up and building up the layers of colour, I then went over with my blender to soften the edges.

I had so much fun colouring this little guy up, I know I will use him loads he is so cute!

I hope you like it!

If you pop over to the blog you can see the list of colours I used as well as all my teamies other fantastic makes!

The papers (printed directly onto my cracker base are from the W&P 1 collections, and I teamed them with the adorable Ballerina from the W& P 2 collection.

She is coloured up with my Prisma pencils blended with sansador.

I have added plenty of glitter and some ribbon and embellies from Wild Orchid Crafts,

Perfect little gift holders for my girlies!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Not like me to post mid-week is it!!

This is actually a scheduled post as I will be working as usual when this posts and after that I'll be attending the dreaded fat club for weigh in -  eeeeek i've been a bad girl too :(  hope the scales dont mind that I have munched on a chip buttie and some cake over the weekend lol.

So today is my turn to share some Digi Queen's inspiration on the Polkadoodles blog using the fab digi downloads available over at the Polkadoodles store.

So this week we are show casing all things spooky.

I am also trying something new too, I have signed up to Thumblinky so everything I have used in my make will (should) be linked at the bottom of my post .... please let me know if it doesn't work though!

I decided to make a spooky tag using my Silhouette and papers from the Witchie Download bundle from last year.  I also used the Witchie 2013 digi image.

I soloured her up with my Graph'it arkers and highlighted with the Glitter shake pen in silver but for some reason it keeps showing up as pink on my pics :(

Here you can see the silver a little better, I finished off with some pearl flourishes and WOC flowers.

I hope you like it!

Shaped Cards at the Polkadoodles challenge!

Yes its Friday again and this week its my turn to post my card for the latest challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog.

This week we have been challenged to make a shaped card .... now i'm never very adventurous when it comes to anything other than a 6x6 or 8x8 so please don't laugh at my feeble attempt!

So for my "shape" i went for a beach ball lol ..... yeah yeah I know its only a circle but a circle is a shape too right?????

I used the image and papers from the Work and Play 4 CDrom and cut the shape out on my silhouette.  I used my Graph;it Markers to colour her up.

Finally I added lots of lovely ribbon and pearls to create a waves effect and then some flowers to pretty it all up :)

I hope you like it, dont forget to pop by and check out my wonderful teamies fab creations and share yours while you're there too!

Light Source Inspiration for The Colour Crazy Challenge Blog

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.

I had my operation and was quite sick for a while, back to work now though, although not out of the woods yet, I think I may need another op now.

Anyway, this week it is mt teams turn to post you some inspiration for the Light Source Challenge at the Graph'it Marker blog .... but don,t worry if you don,t feel up to the challenge of using a specific light source you can just make a card containing pink and link right up!!

And don,t forget you can use any marker!!

For this challenge I decided to have my light source coming from the top right and I used the super sassy Dollie Daydream Birthday Digi image from Polkadoodles.

I decided to give my card a retro 60's feel and crocheted a mustard frame around my image to match with the floral papers (MME Unforgettable)

I hope you can tell where my light source is coming from :D

Graphit's used:

Skin: 3120, 4155, 4150, 4115, 4135 (cheeks)
Hair: 3290, 3255, 3250, 3245, 3210
Jeans: Cool Greys 9100-9108
Top: 2140, 2120, 2110, 2105
Green: 7290, 7270, 7250

Shadows: cool grey 9100, 9102,9103

I finished off with just a few embellies as the frame took up most of the card lol.

I hope you like it, pop on over to the blog to check out the other DT makes and don't forget to enter your Pink / Light source makes while you're there too.

Polkadoodles Challenge - Tag you're it!

Happy happy friday everyone!

By the time you are reading this I should be at the Northern General having my much awaited operation ... eeeeek!

Fingers crossed all will go well and I should start seeing a huge improvement in my health , its been a tough few years to say the least.

Right then on to business, this week it's myself and my lovely teams turn to post you some inspiration for the current challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog.

This fortnight we would love to see your tags!!!

Here's what I made:

I used the adorable Ballerina from the Work and Pay 2 collection, she is also available on her own as a digi image here.

I coloured her up using my brand new Prisma Pencils woooooooo! those of you who know me will know the disaster that happened with my old pencils and why i'm so pleased I finally have some more :)
I didn't use any sansador or anything i just let the pencils blend themselves, I need more practice though, its been a long time.

I used the papers from the CD too and then added ooodles of embellies from WOC and The Ribbon Girl.

I hope you like it!

Have a great weekend!

Winston Mini Album

Hi everyone

Just popping in to share one of my DT makes for the brand new CD release from the very talented Nikky Hall at Polkadoodles.

If you were watching Create and Craft on Sunday you will have seen the gorgeous Winston and his adorable friend Etty and all the wonderful samples made by my uber talented teamies.

You can pre-order your CD now here.

This CD is rammed with the most adorable images, papers embellies, cutting files and so much more .... you really need it in your crafty stash.

I made a few samples here is the first (warning picture heavy)

I made a mini album using 6x6 Kraft card blanks and envelopes, the envelopes made the pockets and the cards made the inserts and tags.  I added a cardboard spine and front and back covers.  I also made a box to hold it.

I used the papers from the CD to mat and layer each page, I added tags to be used as space for journaling.

jou

Each page has a large pocket in the side for pictures to be added front and back.

There is also a teeny tiny photo wallet in each page and I used the toppers to cover these.

The book is embellished with flowers from the CD and on the inside front cover I used one of the cutting files to title the book "Friends"

Phew are you still with me lol!

I loved using the CD to make this album.

Inspiration week at the Colour Crazy Challenge

Happy Friday every one!

This week it's my teams turn to post inspiration for the current challenge over at the Graph'it Marker blog.

This time we have been challenged to colour some sort of transparent image ... now this can be quite tricky even for the most seasoned colourist so don't worry we have an additional theme of "Summer Florals" so you can take your pick.

Don't forget you have the chance to win a selection of Graph'it Markers if you are the random winner!!!

So lets take a look at what I did ... go easy on me now ive been under the weather and its my first attempt at transparencies .. not that i'm making excuses at all lol

I used the stunning Dahlia Digi Stamp from Hanna Lynn, I misjudged the size when printing and ended up with a teeny tiny image less than 2"x3" to colour but managed it with my specs on lol.

Skin: 3120, 4155, 4150,4115, 4135 (blush)
Hair: 7165, 7160, 7150, 7140
Dragonfly: 6175, 6140, 6130, blender
White shake marker pen for veins in dragonfly wings

I used papers from an old Prima pad, its at least 3 years old .... shame on me for not opening it sooner.

I added flowers, leaves and pearl trim from WOC and lots of stickles to finish.

Hope you like it!

Have a great weekend!
