The Pencil Case Challenge - L is for Love

Hi guys,

Boy am I glad it's the weekend, I am exhausted this week, I recently started a new job, it is a lot more travelling than my old job and it's really taking it's toll on me, fingers crossed I will get used to it soon.

So today is the start of a new challenge over at the Pencil Case and this week as the title says we want so see your projects made with the colour of luuuuuuuuuurve!!!

This week we are sponsored by Molly Harrison and don't forget there will also be a Lyra prize up for grabs too!

I had a stunning image to work with this week, this is Enchanted Garden

I went for traditional colours of love, I printed the image rather tiny too so my pencils had to be sharper than sharp for this project!

Another simple card for me, I simply cropped my image into a heart shape and matted and layered onto a die cut heart, a few papers from a LOTV pad and loads of stickles finished it off.

I tried to capture the glitter in this picture but as always it was a little camera shy lol.

So I hope you like my project, I hope to see you join in the challenge.

Grumpy little me .... erm.... I mean Cat!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Did you all get snow??? We did, the kids and hubby loved it but me .... mmmmm not so keen so I stayed in and did a little bit of crafting!

I've been trying out my brand new Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers!

Now don't laugh this is my first attempt lol so its a bit rough around the edges to say the least....

I used this cute little kitty from MFT .. this is from the I Knead you set, isn't it cute

I found the pens a little tricky to work with, especially since it took me an hour to realise I had previously filled my water brush up with blending alcohol and so it wouldn't blend my watercolour's lol

I thought the sentiment was adorable and perfect for me to give the card to hubby for valentines ... well it would have been if he hadn't walked in and seen the card, now I need to make a different one tut!

Anyway I hope you like it, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The Pencil Case Challenge - K is for Kraft/ K is for BlacK

 Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well, I am super late with my DT make this week, I've been having one hell of a week with one thing or another but better late than never I suppose.

So this week at the Pencil Case we would like to see your makes including Kraft or Black or both if you fancy.

This week we are very kindly sponsored by the amazing Art of Ching Chou Kuik
So make sure you check out their amazing Store - full of fabulous art for you to colour with any medium!
Prize 1: Ching Chou Kuik have very kindly donated 2 digi images to our winner for this challenge which will be chosen by Random.org
Prize 2 Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils  - to win this you need to be in the UK so please add UK next to your name in your entry - if you're in the UK and don't add it after your name we won't count you in the draw and you could miss out.  Again we will choose a winner via Random.org

I was given Here With Me to colour up, she is stunning!!

I wanted her skin to look like she was part of the tree so I added more browns to blend her in, With all of the greens and browns I used I decided to add a pop of colour to her hair .. who doesn't love blue hair right???

I matted and layered my papers and image with Kraft card and added my bow and flowers to finish off.

I hope you like it and that you can forgive my tardiness!

Pop on over the the blog there is some fabulous inspiration there for you and don't forget you can also win fab prizes!

Huge hugs xx Cara xx

Who has the January Blues???? We do at the Graph'it Marker Blog!

Hi everyone, its Friday again and my turn to share my DT make for the Graph'it Marker Challenge, which as you have guessed is "January Blues" and I for one am totally feeling the blues this month :)

So this week our fabulous sponsor is:

and don't forget,, as well as amazing sponsor prizes you can also win some Graph'it Markers!!!

I loved my image this week she is called Nouveau Flower Girl and she is so pretty.  I went for the a pop of colour with my blue pallet as I knew I wanted to do the sky vivid blue and her dress also in blue.

I kept my card pretty simple as I wanted the image to really stand out against the white of the base.

I added stars using my white Graph'it Shake pen, and also a touch of sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen (i can never catch it on camera though)

I finished off with some snowflake and pearl trims and a few flowers.

I hope you like it.

First DT post of 2016!! The Pencil Case January Colours

A very Happy new year to everyone, thank you for all visiting me in 2015 and now returning for another year - it means so much to me to have you here.

So for our first challenge of the new year at The Pencil Case we are sponsored by the lovely Ltle Miss Muffet Stamps:

LMMS will award one $6.00 Gift Certificate (GC) for the selected or random winner of the Event. They can use the GC towards anything in the LMMS Store, including Digital Stamps, Rubber Stamps and/or Metal Dies

Our theme this fortnight is January Colours.

I was given  CANDY FLOSS CREW DAISY WINTER  to play with and I used her to make a New Year Card.

When I think of January I think of cold weather and therefore blues spring to mind,  I also added a pop of bright pink to represent the excitement a new year always brings!

I hope you like my little card ... bit of a CAS one but after all of the indulgence of christmas i'm in a bit of a clean and fresh mood!
